    Since the beginning of this year (2008) we have started to keep a Guestbook in our office. The links from this page take you to genuine feedback as written by our highly satisfied customers. Many of the comments relate to individual tour guides. We cannot guarantee any one tour guide for your trip but we will do our best to meet any other requirements you have.

About Yangshuo

Yangshuo is located about 70km south of the city of Guilin in Guangxi Province. It is set amongst beautiful scenery and is one of China's hottest adventure holiday destinations.

The local mountains are very distinctive. Technically they are heavily eroded limestone or 'karst'. They tend to have very steep sides and contain many holes and caves. There are lots of fossilised corals hanging off the mountains indicating their origins. Anyone who has been to Halong Bay off the Vietnam coast will recognize the formations.

Tourism is well developed and there are many Attractions to make your holiday in Yangshuo special. The Li River Cruise and Moon Hill have been classic attractions for years. The Liu San Jie Light Show is a more recent introduction but is hugely popular. There are performances almost every night (except when it rains) and in the busy months there can often be two shows each night.

The gorgeous surroundings make for an excellent outdoor venue. The active are encouraged to get out of town under their own steam:

• Cycling around the countryside is easy as the network of trails between villages is very good - and mostly flat.
• Hiking gets you closer to the countryside and can be particulary special along the riverbanks.

Both of these activities become a more worthwhile experience when you take a tour guide along with you. A tour guide can show you to places you would struggle to find alone, and can pass on interesting facts about the places you visit. They can also answer your questions, or translate those questions you have for other locals.

For those who feel less active there are plenty of opportunities in town. Take a lesson, go shopping or just relax and eat delicious local and western food.

There definitely is something for everyone.
